If you’ve ever watched in awe as the black swan completes 32 fouettes, you will know that ballet sometimes seems to defy the possible. Indeed, from a beautiful pas de deux to grande jetés, hidden behind the perfect technique is a swathe of science.

The Queensland Ballet and its Artistic Director, Li Cunxin, will be joined on stage by a physics guru and a dance physiotherapist to deconstruct the movements and explain the physicality in this very graceful and enlightening collision of art and science.
