Creative Arts Weekend

CMC is taking aspiring musicians, artists, dancers, creators and actors on a weekend retreat of focused, specialised rehearsals and workshops.  The Creative Arts Weekend is an opportunity for students to work with their directors and Clairvaux MacKillop staff on developing and honing skills, preparing repertoire and working in collaborative and creative environments.  Students from all of our Ensembles and Co-Curricular Arts groups and Troupes will engage in rehearsals and focused sessions in their key areas of interest that will progress creativity and technique for both in the classroom and for their own development and expression.

Ensembles will learn to work as a team and get a head start on material for the many performances of Term Three.  This weekend is also an immersion experience across the various arts disciplines of Visual Art, Dance, Media, Music and Drama. So students will also spend time engaging with arts that might be new to them in themed workshops (aimed at beginners) with our skilled presenters, conductors, choreographers and staff. Stepping out of their comfort zone and trying new forms of artistic expression and skill building while meeting new people.  What an amazing opportunity for our young people to develop their creativity, technical skills, teamwork and have an awesome time in the process.

All students involved in college music ensembles, dance troupes, clubs such as: Drama Club, Art Hub, Film Club and Tech Crew are expected to attend the weekend and consent forms will be sent through the online program: ‘Parent Slip’.

Look out for the email to come through.
